75kW VSD Compressor Powers Printing Facility Expansion

Focus Industrial recently delivered a high-capacity compressed air solution to a printing and packaging facility in Ingleburn, Sydney, enabling the business to expand its operations seamlessly.

To accommodate increased production demand, the facility upgraded from a 37kW Atlas Copco VSD compressor to a powerful 75kW VSD Screw Compressor from Focus Industrial. Following a detailed consumption audit, the new system was chosen as the most efficient solution for the expanded operations. The Atlas Copco unit has now been moved to a backup role, while the Focus compressor handles the primary workload.

The installation included a refrigerated dryer, vertical air receiver, and two-stage high-efficiency inline filtration to maintain clean and constant compressed air pressure. This is essential for the specialised printing and packaging machinery operating at the facility. SurePress stainless steel piping was used to seamlessly integrate the new system into the existing setup.

Given the facility’s 24-hour operations, reliability was critical. The new Focus compressor is supported by a 5-year warranty and a comprehensive service plan to ensure uninterrupted performance. The equipment installation required precision handling with a Franna Crane, and the Focus team completed the process within hours without disrupting production.

This upgrade equips the facility with a future-ready compressed air solution, enabling it to meet rising production demands while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability.
