Compressed Air Delivery from Sydney to Victoria

Focus Industrial recently completed a compressed air delivery project for Elders Wool, transporting and installing two high-performance SB500V 37kW Variable Speed Compressors over 2200 km from Sydney to Ravenhall, Victoria. These Italian-manufactured compressors, designed for efficient compressed air delivery, provide 217cfm (6.2m³/min) at 8-bar pressure and include a 5-year, 10,000-hour warranty. Each unit requires an 80-amp, 3-phase power supply with a D Curve Breaker, ensuring reliable operation and minimal downtime.

To support this advanced compressed air delivery system, an RDF371 refrigerant dryer was installed to maintain optimal moisture control, along with two AR2100-V vertical air receivers manufactured to AS1210 standards. These Australian-made air receivers are crucial to the compressed air delivery setup, offering dependable storage and pressure control. Two FHO-460A filter housings were added to ensure particulate-free air, enhancing the system’s overall efficiency and longevity.

The scope of the project included installation of the Surepress stainless steel piping system, backed by a 25-year no-leak guarantee. The setup was completed with WOS-20 water-oil separators and durable hose reels to create a fully integrated compressed air delivery network tailored to Elders Wool’s needs.
