Focus Industrial recently completed a high-efficiency compressed air installation for Dulux Paints at their specialised coating equipment repair and maintenance workshop in Wetherill Park, Sydney. This advanced system was engineered specifically to meet Dulux Paints’ diverse compressed air needs, while delivering substantial energy and carbon savings of over 35%.
The system features an SB500V 37kW Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Screw Compressor, which optimises power usage by adjusting output to match demand, significantly reducing wasted energy. Alongside the compressor, a full array of equipment was installed, including an RDF refrigerated dryer for consistent air quality, a vertical air receiver for steady air supply, and a dual-stage pre- and post-filtration setup. Breathing filters were also incorporated to ensure safe and clean air for their spray booth applications.
For reliable, leak-free air distribution, Focus installed a Unipipe aluminium compressed air piping system, which combines high efficiency with a streamlined, professional look. This durable piping system aligns perfectly with Dulux Paints’ quality standards, ensuring sustained energy savings and operational reliability.
