Focus_Industrial provides custom piping installations for compressed air systems

Installation technician Rob Meyer is on-site at the new Uniquip Stone workshop, where he’s managing a poly compressed air piping installation!

Producing a stone benchtop or splashback involves more than meets the eye. Stone slabs, mined or man-made, are imported to Australia, where they are transformed into stunning kitchen countertops, bars, and other interior features. The slabs are processed through various machinery, including bridge saws, edge polishers, under-sink cutting machines, and waterjet cutters, to achieve precise sizes. They are then polished to a smooth finish using air polishers and pneumatic grinders before being cleaned, delivered, and installed.

All equipment in a stone fabrication workshop relies on compressed air for operation. It is essential for running water processing tools safely and ensuring reliability across all machinery.

Uniquip Stone, a trusted Australian stone fabrication company in Padstow, NSW, specialises in high-quality finishes for kitchens, tables, stairs, and vanities. To accommodate their growth, they recently moved to a larger manufacturing facility, awarding Focus Industrial the project of installing a new compressed air and recycled water piping system. Using Maxair poly compressed air piping, Uniquip Stone now distributes compressed air and recycled water throughout the workshop to multiple terminal points, powering their CDK Stone GMM Bridge Saw, Farnese recycled water silo, waterjet cutter, jib cranes with vacuum lifters, and various workbenches equipped with air polishers and pneumatic grinders.

The system, fed by screw compressors, refrigerated dryers, and air receivers positioned outside the workshop, is linked to indoor equipment via outdoor-to-indoor compressed air piping connections that Rob meticulously installed to ensure efficient airflow throughout the facility.

Unlike many vendors, Focus Industrial offers comprehensive services, including sales, installation, customised compressed air piping solutions, and regular maintenance—ensuring you avoid unexpected downtime.
