For this install, we partnered with an industrial supplier who delivers custom-engineered abrasive blasting solutions for Australian businesses. They serve clients nationwide and supply specialised machines and equipment to manufacturers across multiple sectors that rely on precision compressed air sand blasting.

In this recent compressed air install, we worked with our sand-blasting solutions partner to design a custom-tailored system capable of delivering high-powered, dry, and contaminant-free compressed air to their end fabrication client. This setup supports structural steel processing for metal fabrication projects, where sand blasting is critical to preparing steel surfaces for powder-coating. Additional workshop stations also benefit from reliable compressed air for other processing equipment.

For this site, the installation included a high-performance variable speed screw air compressor FC1200V operating at 90 kW, two air receiver tanks, pre- and post-filtration, a dryer, and 50mm aluminium piping specifically for the abrasive blaster. Using dual air receiver tanks allows the first tank to act as a wet tank, removing up to 20% of moisture and swarth, reducing strain on the dryer and extending its lifespan through our recommended oversizing.

In addition to the high-powered FC1200V setup, two smaller FC200-50D fixed-speed machines operate on site. One powers a Ficep beamline machine, while the other supplies compressed air to the spray-coating booth for final finishes.
