Dulux Receives a State-of-the-Art Compressed Air System

Dulux Group, a leader in premium paint and coatings, recently enhanced their Lambton, NSW trade centre with a state-of-the-art compressed air system installed by Focus Industrial. This tailored solution ensures seamless operation of critical manufacturing processes while enhancing reliability and energy efficiency.

Focus Industrial supplied and installed a robust FC200-50D – a 15kW (20HP) Screw Compressor mounted on a 500-litre tank with an integrated refrigerated dryer. This compressor boasts a pressure capacity of 74 CFM at 10 Bar, perfectly suited for Dulux Group’s operational demands. For optimal functionality, the system requires a 40-amp 3-phase power supply with a D Curve breaker, along with a 240V 10-amp power point for the dryer. Backed by a 2-year warranty, this reliable setup guarantees performance and peace of mind.

To further enhance versatility, Focus Industrial installed an HR1220 Polymer Hose Reel with a 20-metre ½” hose. This hose reel ensures safe and efficient delivery of compressed air to the blast cabinet and workbench areas, meeting Dulux Group’s production needs while maintaining a tidy and organised workspace.

The installation included running 25mm poly compressed air piping along the internal workshop walls to two key areas: the blast cabinet and the hose reel at the workbench, facilitating the Graco paint sprayers at the centre. The Focus Industrial team also mounted the hose reel and connected the piping to the blast cabinet, ensuring the system was operational immediately after commissioning.

A forklift was provided onsite to assist in compressor positioning, while Dulux Group’s team handled the electrical connection to the compressor. Focus Industrial’s experienced technicians completed the delivery, installation, and commissioning seamlessly within the 3-4 week lead time.
